Thermal printers

IntelliPOS prints to standard 80mm thermal printers. On the Windows app printing is silent and cut-to-size for receipts, bills and kitchen tickets. Choose your printer once on the receipt screen (Change next to the printer name) and that device remembers it. In a browser, pick it in the print dialog, or connect a USB/Bluetooth printer from the receipt screen. Settings → Receipts & printing holds the paper width.

Barcode scanners

Any USB barcode scanner works — it types the barcode like a keyboard, and the till adds the product instantly. You can also scan with a phone/tablet camera.

Cash drawer

A cash drawer that plugs into the receipt printer pops open on cash sales when you switch on Pop the cash drawer on cash sales (Settings → Receipts & printing). It is off until you turn it on, and it works when the till prints directly (the Windows app or a connected printer) — not through the browser's print dialog. The till's Drawer button records money in and out; it does not open the tray.

If a slip prints wrong

If a bill or ticket ever prints on a long blank page, your device's default printer is probably set to a PDF/A4 printer — pick the thermal printer on the receipt screen (Change) and every slip goes to the right device.
