Your domain & Google

Connect a domain you own (or buy one in your own name), how you look on Google, real reviews, and what helps people find you.

"Review us on Google" on the printed receipt

Settings → Receipts & printing → switch on Show a QR code on the receipt → QR opens → Review us on Google. The customer scans the slip and lands on your Google review form — the cheapest way to grow your rating. It needs your Google Business Profile linked on the Website tab. The QR itself is off until you switch it on; once on, a US, Canadian or Australian shop with a linked profile points it at Google reviews by default, elsewhere it opens WhatsApp unless you choose otherwise. Your own caption is optional.

Your own domain

Your site lives at your-name.intellipos.io from day one. If you own a domain (joescafe.com), connect it on the Website tab — it's included with your website, no extra charge:

  1. Type the domain and tap Connect domain.
  2. Add the one TXT record shown at your domain company (we detect who that is and link their guide), then tap Check. This proves the domain is yours.
  3. Add the routing records shown (an A record and a www CNAME, or one CNAME for a subdomain), tap Check again — when they're seen the domain goes Live, the secure certificate is issued by itself, www redirects, and your IntelliPOS address redirects to the new one. Your QR code and share links switch over automatically.

At domain companies that support it, a Connect automatically button appears instead — sign in there, approve, and the records are added for you. DNS changes usually show within minutes, sometimes up to an hour. Remove domain at any time — the IntelliPOS address keeps working.

Don't have a domain yet? Buy it in your own name

IntelliPOS doesn't sell domains, on purpose: your domain is your business's name online, so it should belong to you — registered in your name, paid to the company you bought it from, and yours to keep whether or not you stay with IntelliPOS.

  1. Pick a name. On Website → Your own domain, open Don't have a domain yet? — we suggest a few names from your business name, city and country. Short and easy to say out loud wins; a .com is what most customers type, and a country ending (like .ca in Canada) works just as well.
  2. Buy it at any registrar. Tap Cloudflare, Namecheap, GoDaddy or Porkbun to search the name there — or use any other registrar, including local ones. A .com usually costs about $10–20 a year. Use your own name and email, and switch on auto-renew so it never lapses. You don't need the registrar's website builder, hosting or email extras — your site is already built here.
  3. Come back and connect it with the steps above. I bought it — connect it puts the name straight into the Connect box.

If you ever move your website elsewhere, the domain goes with you: point it at the new host from your registrar, nothing to transfer out of IntelliPOS.

Real Google reviews on your site

On the Google reviews card, search your business name, tap This is us, done: a "What people say on Google" section joins your draft with your real rating and reviews (refreshed daily), plus a Write a review on Google button for customers. Nothing is typed by hand — only real reviews. Unlink any time.

Get found on Google

The Get found on Google card lists what helps people find you, with one tap to fix each: your site published, opening hours, phone and address, your logo, a linked Google listing, a few FAQ answers, and your own domain. Once your Google listing is linked it also compares the listing with your site: if Google shows a different phone or address, or your listing's website points somewhere else, it says exactly what to change. Google ranks places whose details agree everywhere higher. Your site's titles, descriptions, photo descriptions and map data are written for search automatically — linking your Google listing also gives the site your exact map pin.

How you look on Google

The How you look on Google card shows your search result as a customer sees it — your name, your address, the blue title and the line under it — and it changes as you type. Write your own title (about 60 characters show) and description (about 155), or tap Write it for me and the AI drafts them from what IntelliPOS already knows: your name, your city, your best sellers and your site's own words — never an invented claim. Nothing saves until you tap Save, and then it's live straight away (no Publish needed). Leave either box blank and the automatic words are used. Also here: Your website is written in — pick the language your site's words are in (English, Somali, Swahili, French, Spanish and more) so phones, screen readers and search engines read it right. You can ask the Website chat too: "make our Google title mention the charcoal grill".
