Reports
Reading your day, choosing periods, and what each report shows.
Reports turn your sales into decisions.
Choosing a period
Every report uses one date picker with memory — Today, Yesterday, this Week, this Month, or a custom range. Your choice is remembered per shop.
The trading day
Reports honour your shop's real trading day. If you close at 2am, a 1am sale counts toward the previous day — so "today" always matches how you actually trade. Set it once at Settings → Payments & tax → When does your business day end? Rotas and the time clock stay on calendar days — people work dates.
What you get
- Overview — sales, profit, and how today compares.
- Top items — what's selling.
- Sales by cashier — per-person performance.
- Hourly heatmap — when you're busy (staff for it).
- Gross margin / Profit & loss — the money view (owner).
What the charts mean
Under the busiest hours, the days of the week, payment methods and top sellers, a single line tells you what the chart means — for example "Tuesdays run 40% below your average day" — only when the numbers really support it. Ask the AI → beside it opens the AI Analyst with the follow-up question ready.
One rule about money
IntelliPOS never adds different currencies together. Each shop's numbers are in its own currency, and multi-shop views keep them separate.
