Printer problems
Receipt prints huge on A4, nothing prints, or the wrong printer fires.
Stuck on anything? The flag at the bottom-left of every dashboard page sends a note straight to IntelliPOS with the page attached — no screenshots needed.
The receipt comes out huge, on a full page
That means the print went to a document printer (A4/letter) instead of your receipt printer. Two fixes:
- Windows app: printing is silent and goes to the remembered receipt printer, then your Windows default. Make your thermal receipt printer the Windows default printer (Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers), or pick it once from the printer chip on the till — it's remembered after that.
- Browser: in the print dialog, choose the receipt printer and its 80mm paper size once — the browser remembers your choice for next time.
Nothing prints at all
- Check the printer has power and paper, and the cable (or Bluetooth) is connected.
- In Windows, open Printers & scanners and confirm the printer shows as ready — not paused or offline.
- Print a Windows test page. If the test page works, print a receipt again from the till.
The kitchen ticket or bill prints wrong
Kitchen tickets, bills and receipts all use the same printing brain — if receipts print correctly, the others will too. If only one is wrong, tell us — that's exactly the kind of thing we fix fast.
Set the paper width once
Settings → Receipts & printing has your paper width (most receipt printers are 80mm). Set it once and every slip — receipt, bill, kitchen ticket — comes out the right size.
